Take My Fire is the third song from The Soviet Influence's upcoming album Socialism: An Introduction, scheduled to be released in October. It's a modern political rock song, a call to wake up from the sleepy malaise of distraction in our daily lives.
With passionate vocals, genius guitar playing and powerful rhythm section, the music can be described as indie rock influenced by Radiohead, Matthew Good, Talking Heads, Joe Strummer and Johnny Marr.
The Soviet Influence consist of Peter Snow as the singer, songwriter and lead guitarist, Ty Mackenzie on lead guitar and Blake and Peter Morey on rhythm section. They exist as a band since 2011 and they have two full length albums : Boundaries (2012) and The Price of Vigilence (2020). They also have released two EP's : Check Boxes (2018) and This Band Is So God (2020). This last EP includes Take My Fire and two other songs Two Weeks and Watch Out!
Bringing a nostalgic sound mixed with fresh ideas their music has received positive reviews from Alan Cross, Obscure Sound and Divide and Conquer.
