REARDON LOVE - Dreams From The Diaspora

Dreams from the Diaspora is the third single from UK based indie rock band Reardon Love. The track immediately plunges the listener into a wild west scene that feels reminiscent of ‘Red Right Hand (Nick Cave)’ or ‘Riders on the Storm (The Doors)’. As with all of Reardon Love’s songs, the lyrical theme of the track tackles a contentious and controversial issue.  This time it is immigration, the ambitions of people too afraid to continue living in their birthplace, leaving behind the spiritual land of their culture in order to seek safety, financial stability and quality of life in a developed nation. It also highlights the prejudice these people face even when reaching and achieving their dreams of a stable and comfortable life.

This song climaxes in an instrumental explosion of chaotic energy, an expression of frustration or an anthem of prosperity, drawing inspiration from the ‘Knights of Cydonia (Muse)’ and closes with delightful synchronicity from the band showing solidarity behind the message.

US based alternative rock band Tough On Fridays are back with their new single Undone. It's a song in the unique "punk rock mixed with grunge" sound that the band is known for. Tough On Fridays are giving us a first-hand, critical look at a friendship turned unfortunately sour. Undone is that relatable situation where a friendship with a selfish person that no longer serves you finally comes undone.

NICK SANZERI - Wiped Out

Wiped Out is the new song by US based artist Nick Sanzeri, scheduled to be released on all platforms Friday Jan 8th! The song is a mix of funk, jazz, rhytm n' blues and rock sounds, influenced by Steely Dan, Sound Garden and James Brown.

MADICIDE - Death March

Four piece thrash/groove metal band from South Wales, Madicide, have recenlty released their single Death March, which is not a new song, as it first came out on 2015. This is a classic old school thrash metal track with modern, dark and groovy sound. You can hear the influences of bands like old Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Motorhead and Black Sabbath.

AWAKE AGAIN - Look Around

Lesson Learned is the latest single by american post-hardcore/metalcore band BACKTALK . With sound influenced by bands like Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, August Burns Red and others, the song focuses on the topics of personal plight, regret, and feeling doomed to forever continue the cycle of error. The main "character" who speaks during the song ultimately feels as if there isn't much of a point in making efforts, because it leads them to the same point that they started at.

Believe it or not, the six newcomers are from another dimension but are, for the time being, stranded in our reality, pushing hard on their metal journey as they try to get back home. But let us not stray from the path. Let’s talk about their music.

Behind The Wall tells the touching story of the Frank family, who had to hide from the Nazis during World War II. Changing perspectives, thunderous double-bass rhythms, and lightning-fast guitar riffs drive the story forward intensively. But there is also room for quieter moments, which makes the song more dynamic and creates strong tension. All these elements together result in a sound that the band describes as expressive power metal, which ranges from melodic to aggressive but is always catchy as hell!

Power metal is familiar territory for Divine Anger, but the band builds musical bridges toward melodic death metal as well. This is also the case with Behind The Wall, where growls, screams, and clean vocals alternate and connect organically, reflecting the tensions of the historical background.

In 1942, the situation of the Jewish Frank family became so threatening that they had to go into hiding in a back building in Amsterdam. Anne Frank wrote her world-famous diary there. On August 4, 1944, the Nazis found the Franks’ hiding place. A few weeks later, the family was taken to Auschwitz, and its members were separated. Anne died in the Auschwitz concentration camp in early 1945. It was the brave girl’s wish that her story be told over and over again so that she and her loved ones could live on in people’s hearts even after their deaths. Divine Anger’s song is a small contribution to the fact that “Humble heroes never die.”

If you like intensive power metal, vivid storytelling, and getting hooked on to an emotional heavy rollercoaster ride, then this is definitely for you.

Behind The Wall is part of a concept EP on which the band is currently working. So, the song will later fit into a bigger framework story. The EP will be released in early 2021, and it is certain that a second single will be put out on the way to its release.

STARLINER - 20/20

New pop-rock artist, Starliner, has just released his second single, “20/20”, which is a featured track on Starliner’s upcoming EP with the same name. Starliner is a Texas-based pop-rock recording artist and guitarist.After years of being the lead guitarist of The Drugstore Gypsies, Starliner has set out on a new path as a solo artist. 

“20/20” could be seen as a tribute to the nostalgic/living in the moment vibe and it encourages listeners to cherish their past memories but focus on the here and now, as it’s all we have. It's a dynamic rock song with some pop influences.

ESTHR - Violence

Violence is the new single by 4 piece Rock/Electronic band ESTHR. The song is an observation, and a call to action, just not in the way one might initially expect. Band members are expressing their anger, confusion and sadness with every new outrage they were all surrounded by. ESTHR's music is a perfect blend of synths and heavy guitar tones. They belong to the same British electronic rock scene like other bands such as Enter Shikari, THE HUNNA, Bring Me The Horizon and YMAS. They also are influenced by nu metal bands like Linkin Park.

CODY FEECHAN - Kingdom Caller

Country-rock singer and songwriter from Scotland, Cody Feechan, has just released her new single Kingdom Caller. This is her third release of 2020 and it’s a blues rock ballad created with a variety of instruments, such us harmonica, which plays a crucial role by adding this bluesy-feel in the song. Lyrically Kingdom Caller is about mental health. "A man struggling mentally to the point of being delusional and believe he has everything he could want or need, when in reality he doesn’t have much at all and is very much alone" says Cody.

Cody Feechan is the winner of the ‘Home Grown Talent’ at the Kingdom FM Local Hero Awards 2019.
