JUST LIKE COSMONAUTS - So It Goes

'So It Goes' is the third single released by Just Like Cosmonauts, an exciting new 3-piece based in South Devon. Guitarist and vocalist Tommy Chalk and bassist Ross Musgrove met by chance at Ross' work Christmas party and immediately bonded over the solo work of Incubus bassist Ben Kenney, when it was discovered that their hugely eclectic but differing music tastes had a large overlap. Joined by Tommy's school friend and former band mate Jamie Colley on drums, the three began writing and finally began gigging in October of 2019. With influences ranging from Incubus to Baroness, and the Editors to Failure, Just Like Cosmonauts combine their love of big riffs and sparkling cleans into a huge and unique sound.

‘So It Goes’ was written in of the winter of 2019/2020 and deals with how a personal loss can drastically turn someone’s life upside down and change it forever, while the world at large carries on as it ever did. It was written shortly after Tommy’s (guitarist/vocals) father died unexpectedly and is his attempt to deal with the grief and loss of such a momentous event, whilst the rest of the world seemingly carries on as normal.
