Lorne Black, The Original Great White Bassist Passes Away

Original Great White bassist Lorne Doyle, better known as
Lorne Black, passed away on September 27th, no details on the cause of death have been released.
Black formed Great White with Russell and guitarist Mark Kendall in 1982, when the band changed their name from Dante Fox. With Great White Black released 1983's 'Out Of The Night' EP, 1984's self-titled debut, 1986's 'Shot In The Dark' and 1987's double platinum 'Once Bitten...', which contained the charting singles "Rock Me" and "Save Your Love". Black would be replaced by Tony Montana when the band reached their commercial peak with 1989's '...Twice Shy'.
