Dogbane - Idylls of Woe (2019)

After four years since DOGBANE’s last album When Karma Comes Calling the North Carolina traditional heavy metal band has finally completed work on their much anticipated third full-length album entitled Idylls of Woe.
Since 2010 DOGBANE have continued to stay active in the North Carolina metal scene, releasing two albums of solid doom laced traditional heavy metal. DOGBANE stay faithful to the foundations of traditional heavy metal while forging a sound of their own.
Heaven and Hell Records will be releasing the band’s third album Idylls of Woe on both CD and vinyl in a very limited quantity.

ANOXIA - To The Lions (2019)

AnoxiA is back with their sophomore full-length effort “To The Lions”. The Danish band has spent the time since the release of their previous full-length – the critically acclaimed “A Lapdance For The Devil” – partially on the road and partially in rehearsal and the studio, crafting the nine songs that would eventually become “To The Lions”. The musical direction on the new effort is old school heavy metal – melodic, yet hard-hitting and thrashy at times. Some times, even a modern twist sneaks in. The songs are carved around strong riffing and a wide array of vocal variation, supporting the musical landscapes.
Mastered by Jacob Hansen (Artillery, Destruction, Pretty Maids) at Hansen Studios, "To The Lions" is in the natural vein of AnoxiAs previous works, not deviating too much from the recognizable AnoxiA-formula of heavy metal.

STEVIE D. feat COREY GLOVER - Torn From The Pages (2019)

Stephen DeAcutis, aka “Stevie D”, has been working professionally as a guitar player, mixer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, engineer, writer, and performer since the early 80’s. During that time, he honed his skills and training under such studio heavyweights as Andy Wallace (Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana), Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith), and Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne), amassing credits that include such acts as Vanilla Fudge, Vinny Moore, Pat Travers, Carmine and Vinny Appice, Punky Meadows, and Cyndi Lauper to name a few.
As the wearer of many hats Stevie D, as well as being a world class mixer/producer, is equally proficient as a guitar player and song writer and when he is not working on other artists’ music he is conjuring up his own creations. Most recently he recorded and performed with Carmine and Vinny Appice and contributed to Carmine’s “Guitar Zeus”, alongside Bumblefoot on guitar. He also finished up his latest release “Torn From The Pages”, featuring Corey Glover (from Living Colour) on lead vocals.
DeAcutis states “This record has been a long time in the making, I am very proud of the outcome and I feel this is some of my best work to date. Corey gave me the goods in his vocal performances and it is a blessing that he has given me his heart, soul and amazing vocal abilities to represent my music. I am truly blessed”.

Licence - N.2.O.2.R. (2019)

Founded back in 2014, the band from Ludwigsburg/Germany, with the very charismatic female singer Jacky Coke already releases their second album, „N2O2R“! Recorded in their own STEAMROCK STUDIO the record again was mixed and mastered by non-other than Achim Köhler (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER, BRAINSTORM). The album is like a fist in your face with its powerful and clear production!
„Never Too Old To Rock“, the title in its spoken form, shows that you are never too old to realize your dream, because in this band father (Steam Licence, guitar) and daughter (Jacky Coke, vocals) are rockin' together. Together with bassist Pappe and drummer Sammy they celebrate their love for the golden age of Heavy Rock, the eighties. For this they recorded their own version of the Eddie Schwartz’ tune „Hit Me With Your Best Shot“, which is known from the 80’s Rock vixen Pat Benatar. The song fits perfect to Jacky’s voice!
The single and video song „Hot4Ever“ is a great hymn with a very serious background. It is dedicated to a friend of the band, who is very sick. This song is the band’s tribute to him, since he is not only a friend, but he also booked some of the first shows for them. You can hear Richie Diver from their label mates MAVERICK here on guest vocals. Also a video clip will be „Rise Up“, a song the band already has featured in their live set for a long time. This song marks all the attitudes from LICENCE. It is heavy, melodic and in your face with a voice, which is powerful and rough!

CARRY THE TORCH - Obsession (2019)

Many of the tracks on Obsession, the new album from Carry The Torch, were originally written in 2009/2010. Over the next few years, Philip (guitars) honed these raw gems into more coherent and melodic structures which form the base of the albums sound.
Philip (vocals) brought in Dennis to contribute towards lyrics and melody and together they continued to rewrite and rearrange the songs. Some songs were kept in their original form (Bow Down, Awakening), others were torn apart, rebuilt, rearranged and so on. For example, the track New Hell contains just one original riff from the old version, the rest was written in 2016. Most of the songs were made in a similar way, however, they did spend more time of arrangements, melodies and hooks this time to create the very best they were able to make which in their own opinion they achieved.

All guitars were recorded in his home studio by Philip. He also programmed all the drums for this particular release (Björn joined after the record already recorded and the bass was done by the groups old friend, Håkan Johansson.
Lyrically, the theme of the album became ‘fire’. In some songs this can be represented in a few words and in others such as The Scorching and Flame Of A 1000 Suns, the whole thing is based on the concept of fire rising from the ashes and also with some apocalyptic feelings to it.
The vocals were recorded at a studio in Mörbylånga, Öland, close to where Dennis was born, which made him feel at home and had a great deal of impact on the way everything came out. Carry The Torch are very proud of their efforts on Obsession have never been this excited to unleash their new album to an unsuspecting world.

ETERNAL BREATH - World Of Chaos (2019)

Belgium heavy metal group Eternal Breath release second full length album World Of Chaosworldwide via Sliptrick Records. The follow-up to their previous debut album The Joker contains eleven brand new tracks that were composed and continuously improved over the period of 3 years.
The writing process during this time evolved from the haphazard approach of the debut album to a more systematic approach. This results in more solidly written songs with tight, dynamic playing and an attention to detail. The album’s lyrics deal with the hardships and trials of contemporary human life, but still put forward the role music and passion can play in coping with this “World of Chaos”.

The album was produced and mixed by Pieter Nyckees and recorded during the second half of 2018 in Shellshock Studio (Knokke, Belgium). The tracks were mastered by Attie Bauw who was responsible for mastering the Grammy nominated album Painkiller by Judas Priest. Guest vocals and piano tracks for the song The Greatest Loss were delivered by Tiffany Veys, head vocal coach at Mind the Voice.

AS I MAY - My Own Creations (2019)

Finnish modern metal act AS I MAY announce they will be releasing their second album "My Own Creation" this coming July 2019. Signing with labels Rockshots Records and Spiritual Beast(Japan), the sophomore full length is slated for a worldwide release on July 26th along with it being available in Japan on July 24th. "My Own Creation" is a fast-paced blend of modern metal with metalcore highlights. It’s heavy, melodic and unique; and sonically more mature than AS I MAY's previous release "Speak No Evil" (2017). Working on writing music that is easy to identify with a digital atmosphere, AS I MAY make their listeners headbang and sing along to the catchy choruses. The first single from the album is 'Pride Goes Before A Fall', it is full of unique tones, dynamic riffs, and impeccable production.
