Vanquished Kingdom - Vanquished Kingdom (2018)

Release Date: November 3, 2018

Vanquished Kingdom is a 4-piece band from Sydney, Australia whose strongest influence is the joyous power-driven energy and dark didactic depth of the 1980s best heavy metal.

Formed in October 2016, Vanquished Kingdom play all original music - "meaningful Maiden-esque metal made modern."

Sometimes described as the unholy lovechild of the granddaughter of Iron Maiden and the nephew of Megadeth, Vanquished Kingdom is exactly what you get when you cross 80s metal with four deeply musical, charismatic, thoughtful, millennial Australians with songs to sing... and sometimes, with axes to grind. Vanquished Kingdom are primarily a performing band.

While 'This is NOT! Spinal Tap', Vanquished Kingdom like to balance the dark, didactic depths of their music by not taking themselves too seriously: “This band is purely and only about having fun, just having fun and nothing else… oh, and changing the world.” They try to keep their tongue in their cheeks, filled with humour and hope even as they rail against and wail about the corruption of humanity.

The other genres that have influenced the members of this band are rock, blues, folk, indie rock, classical, and funk. Other metal bands that have influenced the music apart from Iron Maiden and Megadeth include the other three members of the big 4 (Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer) and especially Judas Priest as well as Black Sabbath. More recent bands like Lamb of God, Mastadon, Children of Bodom, Fenir, Dream Theatre are probably in there somewhere, too.

Zac Anderson – lead vocals and guitar
Nick Wilks – guitar
Siebe Pogson – bass guitar
Jessica Kesby – drums

Wannacries - Instafamous (Single 2018)

On November 2nd Wannacries will release their new single Instafamous on all major platforms. It is bluesy rock track with a strong melody and their trademark guitar sound. It was recorded together with three other songs from February to April 2018. It is the last of the four tracks to be released.
Wannacries is a hardrock band based in Stockholm, Sweden. It was formed by two IT guys who, one day in 2017, decided to start a band together. They had both been playing music in different shapes and forms for 20+ years. Daniel handles the bass and sings/screams in the microphone. Per is the guitar hero and studio genius.
The name started as a joke when they needed a name for the first gig. The ransomware WannaCry was in it’s prime and name stuck so they kept it.
Wannacries are influenced by classic rock acts such as Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath as well as modern bands like Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour. Their trademarks are fast and catchy songs with a sharp, modern guitar sound. Since the release of their debut EP the songs have been played on a number of internet radio stations and Spotify playlists.
They released their first EP Deadline King in January 2018. It has two original songs and two covers given the Wannacries treatment. Since then they have released four singles and they have steadily increased their listener base.

Oh. - Metallia (2018)

“Metallia” is an epical prog-metal composition in six parts. A multi-layered sonic piece of ravishing solo electric guitars, time-bending tempo shifts, grooving bass lines and deranged drums.

This instrumental progressive metal album will reveal its intricacies and hidden depths over time. It will extract from your mind pure visions, to mend your mental pictures, preen presumptions and to elicit an element of the unexpected…. because that is what will transmute your subliminal mind map into a remarkable blueprint which will lead you from wherever you are now, to wherever you want to be.

“If you put Kate Bush, Auf Der Maur, Ayreon, Chiasmata, Igorrr, old White Zombie and Amogh Symphony in a blender with several metronomes running different time signatures, add a healthy dash of thrash riffs to the proggy mix and baked the resulting mixture for several hours you probably wouldn’t even come close to the sound.” – Lee Davidson – Prog Metal Madness

It’s still a mystery to me, how a young lady like Olivia can invent, perform, and produce such a gorgeous piece of musical art. I suppose she got somehow a blessing from the forgotten gods of Olympus… No, really. It’s a wonderfully creative and inventive EP which sounds much more substantial and thought-provoking than many recordings from well-known grandees of modern instrumental Prog-Metal. -Igor Gorely – R.A.I.G. Records (Progarchives)

‘Metallia’ is what it is, not music for fragile souls but an evanescent storm of instrumental music (the voice being used not for words, but as sound) that will suit the enthusiast of powerful, progressive and experimental music.” – Rinco Ennema ~ Rock Affairs
“Oh wow! What the bloody hell’s going on here then? Freshness. Uniqueness. Boldness. An outlier! Call it what you like, but this is anything but your typical run of the mill, bog standard, meat and potatoes, vanilla-like metal.” – K-MaNriffs- Blessed Altar Zine

I. Red Lion (4:30)
II. Bee (5:08)

Orion's Reign - Scores Of War (2018)

OrionsReign ARTWORK 3000x3000pxls.jpg
RELEASE 19 October 2018

Orion's Reign are back with their second full-length studio album, "Scores of War", set for an October 19th release by Pride & Joy Music.

The album, engineered, mixed and mastered at Fascination Street Studios (Powerwolf, Arch Enemy, Dragonforce, Amorphis etc.),  in Sweden by Jens Bergen, Linus Corneliusson and Orion's Reign, includes 11 tracks of epic/symphonic metal.

The band continues the music path it had already begun with the previous album "Nuclear Winter", offering this time a full symphonic experience profoundly influenced by epic movie scores, with a complete orchestra, bombastic rhythms, massive choirs and guest appearances such as Tim Ripper Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth), Bob Katsionis (Firewind), Mark Boals (Malmsteen) and others.

The record is extremely diversified and contains much to explore, from Symphonic Speed Metal to catchy (Hard) Rock sounds, as well as operatic refrains filigreeing rich emotionality. The single "The Undefeated Gaul" is the first appetizer of the album, with fast riffs, heavy rhythm section and furious guitar solos! Stay tuned for more single releases!

Where's My Bible - M 'N' R (2018)

Where’s My Bible is a Finnish metal band formed in Heinola 2014, their music blends rock and punk influences with death/black metal. Originally formed with the intention to just have fun and play, the thought of being taken seriously quickly kicked in.

While building up a repertoire of material, WMB’s original drummer decided to leave the band for personal reasons. It didn’t take long for the band to find their current drummer, adding the double bass drums and blastbeats necessary for the band to find their style. Soon after WMB found their bassist, who after their first practice session together was added to the band, bringing the band to a full lineup. And so Where’s My Bible was born, and it wasn’t long until the now complete band found themselves recording their first EP. Released in early 2016, “The Beginning” was a major milestone for the band, which is reflected in the title itself.

And so it began. Where’s My Bible made their live debut in the spring of 2016 in their hometown of Heinola. The band continued to play assorted shows during the year, and ended up recording a new song. Featuring Leevi Luoto of One Morning Left fame, “Failure” was accompanied by the band’s first music video directed by the young and talented Olli Tiainen. Moving on to 2017, the band entered the inaugural Tuska-Torstai competition hosted by the Tuska Open Air metal festival, winning the contest by storm and securing a spot opening the main stage.

The band started off 2018 by starting the recording of their debut album, while also taking part in the annual Emergenza festival, finishing in third place. The band also got to experience their first taste of playing abroad, making an appearance at the Russian Emergenza final. The band is set to release their debut album “M’N’R” (“Mosh ‘N’ Roll”), an energetic and upbeat, yet stout representation of the band’s sound in the fall of 2018. Stay tuned for more.

Northern Crown - Northern Crown (2018)

Album Art.png

RELEASE 12 October 2018

NORTHERN CROWN has sharpened their self-titled second full-length record, combining more dirty rock organ and chunky guitar riffs with their trademark doom-isms. Following up on their debut album The Others, their self-titled sophomore release maintains the smoke and mirrors of the first EP In The Hands of The Betrayer but leans more in the direction of the first record and the band’s oldest rock influences — DIO, Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath.

NORTHERN CROWN handled mixing on their own again, but brought in the mastering talents of Tony Lindgren from Sweden’s Fascination Street Studios (Witchcraft, Enslaved, Amorphis) for the final touches. Artwork by prolific artist Travis Smith (Opeth, Katatonia, Death) captures the album’s winding atmosphere, rounding out the release.

Reflecting the uncertainty of the dark times we exist in at the moment, Northern Crown tackles the difficult subject of how well we really know ourselves and how that shapes what we do and become. Echoing their previous releases’ indulgent 10-minute+ epics, the track, “The Desert and The Wind,” nods to the prog-heads, while the band also includes a glowing tribute to My Dying Bride with a full cover of “Your River.” The record also introduces a lineup change, with vocalist and guitarist Frank Serafine handling drums. Weaponlord’s mighty Leona Hayward returns on bass, backing Zachary Randall‘s guitar alchemy and harsh vocals. Solos from Nightfall/Dark Hound lead shred-monster Evan Hensley punctuate the record.

Northern Crown will be unleashed on October 12, 2018 on nearly every digital service. Pre-orders are available at music.northerncrownband.com/album/northern-crown

“Zephon” will be featured prominently on “Age of Revolution,” IMMORTALGUARDIAN's debut album, which will be released via M-Theory Audio on Sept. 28. Over the past few years, the group has released two acclaimed EPs, “Revolution Part I” (produced by Roy Z of Halford/Bruce Dickinson fame) and “Super Metal: Edition Z,” that showcased a full-frontal metal assault of anthemic melodies, technical rhythms, furious shred and high-flying vocals by Zema.
