ASHES COLLIDE - First Collide (2018)

The EP First Collide is Russian group Ashes Collide’s debut release and can best be described as alternative rock. Inspired by American 2000s rock, the music has its own tone, based on memorable guitar riffs, simple harmonies and powerful female vocals. Although this is the debut EP of Ashes Collide, the many years of experience of its members have made it possible to create an outstanding piece of work.

Lyrically, all the songs span different social topics. The EP kicks off with Universe which talks about the uselessness of the victim syndrome. No Fear is a song about life situations where fear loses its meaning. Talk tells about the barriers between people and sketchy communication and the slow Do I Have A Dream is a reflection on life and its important components. First Collide closes with the fast and vigorous B.B. which is about the period of growing up when you want to try your whole life to be yourself.

The material was recorded at Voshod Studio in Russia. First Collide got its final touches thanks to the mixing and mastering skills of Nicolay Bazhenov (MetalStudio). His experience made it possible to create a unique and recognizable sound.
