The Angry Bishops - Lost Days Found (2014)

They once were lost, but now they're found!
In 1995, shortly after recording their debut album, the Altar Boys entered into a management contract. They turned over their master tapes in the process, which were to be shipped to record labels.
Recently, founding members John Devlin and Bobby Civitello sat down to discuss their band’s name change from Altar Boys to The Angry Bishops and reveal why it took a “crusade” to release an album that had been missing for twenty years. “In those days,” Devlin says, “we didn’t know much about the music business. We just knew music.”

Two years later, despite touring, the band had no record deal, no money, and found themselves plagued by substance abuse. The Altar Boys, their dreams, and the management company dissolved. One day last year, Devlin began to wonder what happened to their tapes. “Those songs are a part of my soul. That album was my prodigal son. I needed it to find its way home.” Devlin embarked on a journey to find the lost music.

First, he attempted to locate the old management company. He found a dead end. Next, he turned to the internet. “I got an e-mail from John [Devlin],” Civitello explains. “He asked about the tapes. I told him, ‘I thought you had them’.” Intrigued by the notion of rediscovering those old songs he’d written, Civitello joined in the movement. Together, he and Devlin tracked down former Altar Boys rhythm guitarist New York Dick and drummer Joe Graz. Both were engaged in other projects, and neither had a clue where the masters where.

As Devlin and Civitello’s efforts to locate the lost album began to gain momentum, their diligence was causing them to confront lost days as well. “I mean, we started asking old girlfriends,” Civitello says. “Old clubs we used to play. Sound men, booking agents, roadies, you name it. Anybody that might be able to help.” Then, a breakthrough occurred. Devlin got a call from Paul Opalach of Long Hill Recording, the studio where the album had been recorded all those years ago. An ADAT of the sessions survived, and seven tracks were available.

Four of the seven salvaged tracks have been remastered and will be released as an EP. The album, Lost Days Found, will be available on October 28, 2014. Since the music was found, Devlin and Civitello agreed that the next step was to pick up where they’d left off 20 years ago. Recently, the two began working on new material and released a new name for their project.

Inviting everyone to join them on the newest chapter in their music, Devlin and Civitello have renamed themselves The Angry Bishops. A tribute to all the bands who never got so far, The Angry Bishops is honored to have the opportunity to make new music and breathe new life into their older music.

Kivanc Kilicer - Dew on Roses (2014) EP

“This EP is the beginning phase of what I’ve been trying to do all along. I got close to itbefore, but this is the first time I managed to just go for it and take it to the next level”
Kivanc Kilicer started his professional music career as the multitalented frontman of the hard rock band Element in 2007. After composing and releasing 2 studio albums with the band, he focused on his pending international solo project Gravity, where he found himself exploring various combination of contrast tunes and blending them with pure hard rock sound. With a hybrid of metal, electronic and symphonic music and with its mindbending lyrics written by famous English poet John Dryden on 1668, “Dew on Roses”, first EP of Gravity project, harbors many of the similar feelings shared by all of us: A special awakening moment in our short lives. Other tracks of the EP, “Devil’s Thought” and “One of a Kind” have quite original and sharp riffs accompanied with progressive tempos. When listened one after another, the tracks can be the cause an emerging selfmotivating energy, which may take you higher off the ground.
The band members - fellow drum genius Gursu Erden and rocksolid bassist tone meister Murat Cum - met in 2010 while recording for Element. Gursu and Kivanc have been playing together in various bands since 1996.

Recorded in Studio FM, “Dew on Roses” was created with progressive riffs over a symphonic base. After its cinematic suspense intro and inviting vocals, the mysterious reprise harmony will have you singing along with your fist in the air. While the guitars of “Devil’s Thought” definitely make you feel the hard rock punch along with the blazing riffs and its passionate solo, “One of a Kind” fuels you with energy with its infectious chorus and its creative edges. Vocals engage the listener thoroughly through the tracksand pump tempo to he heart.
Dew on Roses, first EP of the album 'Gravity' is ready to be shipped to the masses in 14.10.2014!

The Damn Times

The Damn Times smell of the essence of Austin's punk rock scene, emitting a sound that is as tight as it is raw. With anthems like "Don't Like People" fueling their live shows, the band attacks every note with intensity, grit, and spit. Formed in 2000, The Damn Times have played about every venue in Austin and have made a few treks up and down the West Coast.
Their punk prowess bleeds into other acts, as well. Drummer Coby Cardosa can be seen on organ with The Crack Pipes. Bassist Jeff Linton spent some time lending his low-end to both Sons of Hercules and The Stepbrothers. Chad Nichols when not ripping leads, fronts The Transgressors and plays acoustic guitar with T Tex Edwards and the Texwardians. Ryan Anderson also plays bass in local punk outfit The Hormones, and continues to record bands in his studio, Active Sound Recording.
The band's uber-long-awaited EP, produced by garage punk producer extraordinaire Mike Mariconda, has collected dust since 2000. But a shelved project has not held the band back, as they've earned opening spots for Flesh Tones, Deadbolt, Gaza Strippers and many others along the way.

SEGRESSION - Painted In Blood (2014)

Consider this your call to arms metal fans, SEGRESSION are back, in their most powerfully brutal form yet. Their new album, independent release "Painted In Blood" is dropping in September and it promises to throw you back into your chair and blow any expectations you might have had well and truly out of the equation.

The release follows up the iTunes Metal Chart No 1. "Never Dead" which opened the eyes of fans and critics alike, however, “Painted In Blood” truly sees Segression's sound evolve to a whole new level of impressively tight, bone crushing riffs and hooks, set to eclipse anything that they have produced in the past. In addition to the already solid line up of axe men Michael Katselos,
Sven Sellin and enigmatic front man Chris Rand, Segression now welcome another member to the family, their new drummer Adam Bunnell.

With their well received and critically acclaimed releases; L.I.A (1996), 5th of the 5th (1997),
Smile (2000), Segression (2002) and Never Dead (2011), the band has garnered the attention of labels (Road Runner, Murder Machine Records, Riot/Warner), promoters and bands from all over, touring Australia and abroad with acts such as...Slipknot, Pantera, Machine Head, Soulfly, Cradle of Filth, Ozzy Osbourne, Fozzy, Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory.

Their new live show is undeniably going to produce their strongest and most powerful performances to date. The dynamic sound, energy and enthusiasm within the current line up works, and works very well. Segression has always put their all into the live experience and this is no exception, this is simply another level.

When a band has had the opportunity to accomplish so many milestones backed by the loyal support of their fans, “career defining” is a big call to make, but “Painted In Blood” is that heavy, brutal call.

Segregated Aggressive Army, both new and old, answer the call, Come Together, Come in Pain!!!

Segression proudly endorse Mayones Guitars and Basses, Aguilar Amps, MI Audio, DrumCraft Drums, Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals, Planet Waves Cables and Los Cabos Drumsticks.
