Can You Tell Me..? is the new single by London rock band The Islays. The song is a classic rock ballad in the style of the power ballads of the late 80s. It is inspiredby the stereotypes of day to day life. On how to live, behave, act in order to become successful.The Islays say about : "We grow up with stereotypes, following rules, molds, receiving advices on how to 'fit' best and to be part of the games. Creating ambitions and hopes that might not ever convert to anything as we are becoming part of a mass and not individual entities. At the end we learn to fall for lies and give up on our dreams."
The Islays are Billy and Nektatios who write all songs and play all instruments in the recordings together. They have such a broad music tastes that you can find in their music hints of Rock, Grunge, Blues, Pop, artists like Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muse, Block Party, shaped their sound.
