Sean Boots, former lead singer of Seattle's Amateur Lovers, has released a new song, “Soon I’ll Be Moving On” about quitting his former band. The song explores the paranoia, anger and resignation one feels when about to lose something or someone important. It is written from the perspective of his former band mates and brings a sense of cognitive dissonance to the listener when Sean refers to himself as a "dirty bastard" and "double-crosser" over the sweet, piano-laden verses. It begins softly with a haunting piano intro and grows into a powerful rock chorus with an intriguing but catchy chord progression. Ironically, the release of this song about Sean quitting music is now being used by him to re-establish himself in the music scene.
In one word : Excellent !!!
