“Dalton” is a rock singer/songwriter from Chaffee, MO with songs that
are quoted as being “original and fresh, with the picture painted
lyrically,” according to Indie International Songwriting Competition’s
2015 judge of their rock category, Kyle Novy.
In August of 2016, Dalton will be arriving in LA to find potential
backers for his new project and spread the word about his debut EP
titled, “Dalton: The Fall.” Since the December release of his EP, Dalton
has been working diligently on getting his music to the masses and
taking it to the next level. The momentum is building and people are
noticing. From international songwriting contests to podcasts to
internet radio to college and local radio stations, people across the
country are beginning to create a buzz about Dalton’s music.
The progress to get to this point has been steady from its beginning.
In March of 2014, Dalton recorded the music video for his song, “The
Truth (acoustic)” which later, in August, placed 18th out of 1400
contestants in the EZ Drummer 2 International Songwriting Contest. In
December, Dalton released his debut EP, “Dalton: The Fall.” From there,
the momentum has done nothing but increase. In January of 2015, Dalton’s
song, “The Truth,” debuted on local rock station, z95 The Bone in
Poplar Bluff, MO. The same month, songs “The Truth,” “My Apology,” and
“The Fall” debuted on Tarleton State University’s college radio station
in Stephenville, TX. In February, “Dalton: The Fall” debuted on
Westfield Recording Company’s internet radio program, Westfield Alliance
Indie Show, in Port Richie, FL. That same month, Dalton was chosen as
featured artist on the Bootheel Underground podcast. In April, Dalton’s
song, “The Truth,” took 2nd and song, “My Apology,” took 3rd in the
Indie International Songwriting Contest’s rock category. In July, Dalton
performed an on-the-air acoustic set and interview on z95's Bone In
Your Backyard segment.
So, all of these events have led up to this point: the seeking of
bigger players; bigger opportunities. In August of 2016, Dalton will be
moving out to LA to meet with some big players to take his career from a
slight taste of success to that of potential rockstardum. Regardless,
it’s safe to say that Dalton has only begun.
