The Violet Stones just released their new single Guinea Pig , from their upcoming 2nd album. It's an enjoyable grunge/alternative rock track with lots of lows and highs between the verse and chorus, influenced by bands like Nirvana, Incubus and Paramore.
Lyrically is about religious hypocrisies and how people in power have other intentions in mind when teaching. It depicts how people can be used for another’s greed and personal gain at the expense of others.
The Violet Stones are Sarah (Vocals & Rhythm Guitar), Neil (Bass & backing vocals) and Jarrod (Lead Guitar). They have been together since 2016 and played the Tattered N Torn festival in Ulladulla alongside bands such as The Dead Love. They have also opened forKiko Smokes (members from Birds of Tokoyo) & The Pits in Newcastle.
The single was recorded in Sarah's home studio and was mixed and mastered by Benedikt Hain.
